What is TaskuTalkkari?
TaskuTalkkari is a Finnish app that works as a home maintenance log. It lets you keep track of your home's devices, maintenance, renovations, documents and energy consumption – all in one place, even without an internet connection. The app reminds you of upcoming maintenance with the year clock.
The Finnish angle here is not just a matter of language: the app fetches a building's basic details from the Ryhti building database, reads electricity consumption from Fingrid Datahub, and calculates the share of renovation costs eligible for the household tax deduction (kotitalousvähennys). These are Finnish systems that an international app does not support.

Why was TaskuTalkkari built?
A home's maintenance records are often scattered: a warranty receipt in a drawer, a lost manual, the last service forgotten. TaskuTalkkari was built to bring it all together and remind you at the right time – without your home's data ending up with advertisers. The goal is simple: to help keep a home in good condition and preserve its value, with no effort.
Who is behind the app?
TaskuTalkkari is developed and published by FinConsulting Tmi, a Finnish sole trader. Finnish Business ID 3534220-3, registered in Espoo. Contact: info@taskutalkkari.fi.
What is the maintenance programme based on?
The maintenance intervals the app suggests are not guesses. They are compiled from public sources, and the sources are named at the end of each guide – so you can check them yourself rather than take this page's word for it. See the source lists at the end of the guides Omakotitalon huoltokirja and Mökin huoltokirja (in Finnish).
Whether a maintenance log is a legal requirement is a separate question, and that isn't a matter of interpretation either: the duty comes from section 139 of the Rakentamislaki (751/2023 – Finland's Building Act). The Kodin huoltokirja guide (in Finnish) explains what the section covers and what it doesn't, with links to Finlex.
If you notice an error on the site, please report it to info@taskutalkkari.fi. Each guide shows near the top the date it was last updated.
What happens to your data?
The mobile app works without a user account and without an internet connection. Your data is stored in your device's own database and never leaves it. This can be checked directly: the app works in flight mode. There is no need to take that on trust to try it out.
PilviTalkkari is an optional add-on. Once you turn it on, the data being synced and the files you save move to servers: the application server is in Finland (Tuusula), the database in Germany, the files in France, and the AI-based document reading in Belgium.

What TaskuTalkkari doesn't do
- No advertising. Neither the app nor the site carries advertising, and the free tier does not depend on it.
- No selling or handing over of your data to advertisers. Your home's data is not a product.
- No user account required for the basic features. An account is only needed for the AI features, a shared home and PilviTalkkari.
- No analytics or tracking cookies. The site loads no third-party scripts at all, and the server blocks them separately too.
